What’s incredible about the Alpe di Siusi area is that… it surprises you every time, and leaves you awestruck as you stand before the spectacle of the biggest plateau in Europe.
It’s one of the Giro d’Italia climbs, which is why it’s a must in your GPS device. Uniformity is one of its main characteristics: no particularly challenging stretches, but at the same time there’s no reprieve. The average gradient is 8-9%, with the road continually going in and out of the woods, offering various vistas of the Sciliar Dolomites and the valley towards Siusi and Bolzano.
