In the world, there are few climbs considered nearly impossible. One of these takes riders from the Furkel Pass to the Kronplatz ski area: a distance of 5 km with a maximum slope of 24%. If the numbers already scare you on paper, take the cable car.
Who says that you cannot ride on a ski slope? The road that travels from the Furkel Pass to Kronplatz, entirely made from a special mixture of gravel and cement, makes this possible. If the few kilometres of ascents seem too short, fear not, the impossible gradients will quickly change your mind. Reaching the summit, in fact, is an undertaking for a select few, as during the last kilometre the road climbs at gradients up to 24%. If you are not well trained, we highly recommend that you reach the ski area by gondola, as skiers normally do.
