Of all Dolomites groups, the Sesto Dolomites is the only one named after a village, the charming village of Sesto (or Sexten), which extends between the provinces of Belluno and Bolzano.
The Sesto Dolomites are one enormous natural bike park, a true “masterpiece” for the Italian gravity boys. In fact, every year the slopes of the Sesto Dolomites welcome the best riders from around the world who choose the legendary routes that make it famous. We are talking about the Herrnsteig, the incredibly long, insanely challenging and curvy itinerary whose 8 km route winds through the northern side of the mountain. Or the Furcia Trail, never irregular but full of curves (nearly 120). The goal here is not to put your foot down, descending placing the least possible effort on the brakes. Are you ready to take up the challenge?
