On the dirt road banks between the Sile and Piave Rivers

Description

This circular itinerary, which begins and ends in Lido di Jesolo, winds its way along the delightful untarmacked cycle paths on the banks of the Sile and Piave Rivers. After crossing the countryside as far as Jesolo, take the cycle path on the southern bank of the Sile, squeezed between the river and the lagoon. Continue on the untarmacked bank of the Piave Vecchia or Old Piave, the ancient bed of the river known in Italy as the “Sacred River of the Homeland”, which it joins again near Musile di Piave. From here, follow the course of the Piave to its mouth, near the hamlet of Cortellazzo, before finally reaching Piazza Carducci, cycling along the roads of Lido di Jesolo, a stone’s throw from the beach.
