A route of medium difficulty that will take you from Bellagio to the green valley called Valsassina. The trip begins with a short ferry ride to Varenna on the eastern shore, eventually heading inland by way of a gradual 5 kilometer climb. You will descend into a valley set between the Grigne mountains of Lake Como and the Prealps to the northeast. Here a stop is a must. Valsassina is the home of many farms and shops that produce some of the best products in Italy, such as cheese: from taleggio to goat cheese, from robiola to quartirolo, from giungere to ricotta. After the stop, continue through the valley towards the unforgettable descent to Lecco. Skirting the lake, you will return to the starting point in Bellagio at Hotel Il Perlo.
