On the map, Colma di Sormano doesn’t seem impossible: just over 1.7 kilometres and an elevation gain of about 150 metres. But depart from Como towards Erba and then Sasso. You’ll quickly change your mind. Even during the Giro di Lombardia, many professionals are sometimes forced to get off their bikes and walk up Colma. Do you accept the challenge?

Description

From Como to Colma di Sormano, the world’s hardest bike path. From Como travel towards Erba across several rises and descents, which are a prelude to the relentless climb to Sormano. The climb is defined as simply brutal due to its gradients (with points at 24%), where each metre marks the time until reaching an altitude of 1,107 metres. The only consolation is its length: only 1.7 kilometres. Return by way of the same road.
