San Primo, as it is known by the locals, is the highest peak of the Lariano Triangle. It doesn’t exceed an altitude of 2,000 m a.s.l. but it’s a remarkable climb. The icing on the cake will be the magnificent view from above, extending all the way to the northern limit of Lake Como.
From Canzo to the highest peak of the Lariano Triangle, the itinerary affords a panorama of the whole of Lake Como and the Grigna mountain range to the east, the Alpine massif in Lecco province: 44 challenging kilometres, constantly uphill during the first stretch up to Monte San Primo (1,733 m a.s.l.), then downhill and a few flat stretches.
