A discovery tour of the fortresses and castles along the Wine Route through the Mendola Pass
Circular route that from Bolzano leads you to discover the “Land of castles, lakes and wine”. More than 100 fortresses, castles and noble mansions characterise the landscape of Appiano and its surroundings along the Wine Route: the largest wine-growing area in the whole of Alto Adige. There are also plenty of the epic ascents that characterise this area; you’ll climb the Mendola Pass, an “hors categorie” climb to do at least once in your life.
