It is the first time in history that the most important cycling event in the world, the Tour de France, starts from Italy.

Stage 1: 29. 06. 2024 Florence – Rimini
Stage 2: 30. 06. 2024 Cesenatico – Bologna
Stage 3: 01. 07. 2024 Bologna – Piacenza

To celebrate this event, the Alexander bike hotel in Gabicce Mare has invited their friend Claudio Chiappucci, who is familiar with the Tour de France as he won three stages and in 1992, after a 200 km escape, finished first at the Sestriere finish line, considering it one of the greatest achievements in the history of world cycling.

Thursday, 27.06.2024
Arrival at the hotel, welcome drink with Claudio Chiappucci, who will tell you about his Tour de France experience, and we will watch the video of his ascent to Sestriere together. Dinner at the hotel.

Friday, 28. 06. 2024
After breakfast, at 8:30 am, we start with the Diablo.
Panoramic Tour: Gabicce, Monteluro, Candelara, Novilara, Pesaro, San Bartolo. Stop in San Giovanni in Marignano to taste an excellent Romagna piadina and have a refreshing beer. After a total of 80 km and 986 meters of elevation gain, we return to the hotel for a pleasant relaxation by the pool.

Saturday, 29. 06. 2024
After breakfast, at 8:30 am, we depart with Claudio and our guide towards San Marino.
72 km, 1,236 meters of elevation gain. We will pass through San Leo, have a coffee break, and ride a section of the 1st stage, which passes through San Marino. Here we will stay at the Hotel Titano ****, from where you can see the passage of the Tour de France Caravan.

Sunday, 30. 06. 2024
After breakfast, at 9:00 am, we depart on bicycles with the guide and Claudio. We will go to Cesenatico (45 km) to see the start of the 2nd stage of the Tour de France. Lunch on the beach in Cesenatico. We’ll continue cycling along the Adriatic coast and after 45 km, we’ll arrive at Gabicce Mare. Everyone at the hotel bar to watch the finish of the 2nd stage in Bologna.

Monday, 01. 07. 2024
Everyone at the beach! Excursion at 10:30 am by boat (cutter) to Riva di Focara for a refreshing swim. Tuesday, 02.07.2024: After breakfast, at 8:30 am, we depart with our guide for the Villages & Castles tour. 75.00 km – 1,036 meters of elevation gain. Typical lunch in Gradara at La Casaccia tavern. Wednesday, 03.07.2024: After breakfast, at 8:30 am, with our guide, Urban Tour of Urbino. 90.00 km – 1,120 meters of elevation gain. Picnic stop in the vineyard at Cantina E. Ottaviani.
Tasting of excellent wines and typical country-style focaccia.
