Day 1:
In the afternoon you can have a “first outing” warm-up; we recommend a section of our “In Terra Straniera” route. Without reaching San Marino, you’ll ride to Coriano, then “cut” through San Savino, Croce di Montecolombo, to Morciano di Romagna, and finally back to Cattolica. You will then have “scouted” the area a little and immersed yourself in our rolling hills, savouring the typical differences in height. You will then be ready for the two challenges that await you in the following days. Welcome drink with briefing by our guide/tutor on the two challenging routes planned.

Day 2:
The first of the two challenges is scheduled. You set off with one only goal in mind: to reach the Cippo di Carpegna! Our mythical climb. See our route “Il Cielo del Pirata”. Maybe it’s because it’s Pantani, maybe it’s because of the beauty of the place, but the emotion you feel is truly unique. The champion from Romagna claimed that this climb was more useful for his training than the great Alpine climbs such as the Mortirolo or Alpe d’Huez. Once at the top you can see the life-size wrought iron monument commemorating the champion. But be careful, climb slowly, because everyone knows by now … the slope of the Cippo does not give discounts to anyone! Return to the hotel and possibility of a refreshing bike-brunch.

Day 3:
Here we are with the second of the two challenges. Departure for one of the most popular routes of the now famous competition in our area. See our “Granfondo Squali” route. It will be suggestive to pass immediately in front of the Aquarium of Cattolica to think of being in the “starting cages” of the start. During this challenging tour you will pass through the towns of Gradara, Monte Altavelio, Montegridolfo, Tavullia, and the legendary “Panoramica” with Fiorenzuola di Focara and Gabicce Monte. Probably the most spectacular of the routes followed in the various editions of the Granfondo degli Squali. Return to the hotel with the possibility of a refreshing bike-brunch. It’s time to take stock of the two days; who won the challenge? The Pirate or the Shark in you?
