The Elba Trails area extends around the picturesque villages of Rio nell’Elba, Bagnaia, Rio Marina and Cavo, partially embracing the slopes of Volterraio and Monte Panche. Its trails, all equipped with appropriate signage to ensure a safe and smooth cycling experience, run along ancient paths and mule tracks, alternating between flowing berms and steep, rocky sections.
Test yourself on fast, technical trails such as the “Buca del Bandito”, which rapidly descends through dense forest between Volterraio to the north and Campo della Valle to the south. Although there are no fixed obstacles such as rocks or roots, the soft surface during the warm months makes riding an exciting experience.
