We leave from our Hotel Soreghes in the direction of Canazei and reach the roundabout at the exit of the village in the direction of Alba, Penia, Passo Fedaia (SS641), we turn left onto the SS48 in the direction of Passo Sella – Pordoi. We continue uphill on the SS48, which initially has no particularly difficult inclines. At km 4.52 we pass the locality of Lupo Bianco and continue uphill on the SS48. At the crossroads we turn left towards Sella pass on the SS242. The ascent becomes more difficult and when we arrive in “Pian de Schiavaneis”, we continue uphill and on the right we can admire the Piz Boè and in front the Piz Ciavazes. The ascent to the Sella is the one with the most consistent and demanding slopes with peaks up to 13%. Arrived at the Sella pass, we continue downhill on the SS242. On the right are the beautiful Sella peaks and on the left the Sassolungo. The descent is steep and caution is advised with heavy traffic. At the junction of the SS243 we turn right uphill in the direction of Passo Gardena. This second ascent is not particularly difficult and, with its 250 meters of height difference, does not need many efforces. The road flattens out below the Mesules peaks and then returns to climb just below the pass. The small church a few meters in front of the Passo Gardena is very nice. Once at the top of the pass, the SS243 descends towards Corvara – Val Badia, which we reach with a long series of serpentines. In the village we turn right, uphill towards the Campolongo Pass. The climb is quite demanding at the beginning and has a series of curves that offer the opportunity to enjoy the view of the valley. After the bend where the road flattens out, there is a fountain where we can refresh us and drink a good water. Then the road climbs more gently to the Campolongo Pass and from here it continues downhill towards Arabba. The road is very nice and quickly we arrive in Arabba. Just before to reach the village, we can see the last climb that leads to Pordoi. On the SS48 we turn right uphill towards Passo Pordoi. The last effort is 10 km long and has a height difference of 640 m, which is gained steadily and gradually without steep ramps. From the Pordoi Pass we descend towards Val di Fassa to take the long descent back to Canazei and then to the hotel. The road has a long series of hairpin bends that must be approached carefully, especially with many traffic.
