COSTALUNGA PASS – CAREZZA LAKE (medium)
The tour should be accessible to everyone who has familiarity with the bike. From Campitello di Fassa we take the gravel road that leads us to Moena and it runs parallel to the bike path, immersed in the nature and forests of our valley. We can admire the local biodiversity as well as the Dolomites peaks that stand out among the vegetation. It is a pleasant and relaxing up and down that leads us through the villages of Mazzin, San Giovanni and Soraga to Moena, where a forest road (903) leads to the Costalunga Pass. From here you can admire a spectacular view of the “Roda de Vael” and the whole Catinaccio-Rosengarten. Somewhere here we can enjoy our lunch break in one of the many restaurants or mountain huts.
Then we continue our tour descending from the Costalunga Pass to get to the Lake Carezza, where we can stop to admire the spectacular colors of the lake in which the Latemar group is reflected.
On the way back, however, after a first section on which we continue on the same road as the outward journey to take a dirt road that leads from “Costa Bergousa” to the village of Tamion, we continue from here to Vigo di Fassa, where we get back on the bike path that leads us back to Campitello.
