If we were to give it a nickname, it would definitely be “Stelvio x 2”, because this itinerary of about 100 kilometres and over 3,000 metres of elevation gain leads you to climb 2 of the three faces of the Stelvio Pass.

Description

A circular itinerary that combines the major distances and elevation gains of professional competitions. From Bormio you immediately climb the Umbrail Pass for just under 20 kilometres to reach its 2,501 metres. A long downhill stretch to Prato Stelvio, and then the road ascends again up to the Stelvio Pass (2,758 m). The finish is in Bormio once again.
