Cycling experience
San Vigilio & Alta Badia have long ceased being a well-kept road bike secret.
At the foot of imposing summits the winding, classic Dolomite trails stretch out across the region. They first caught the attention of the public during the Giro d’Italia. Today, bikers can experience those very same trails as well as less well-known but just as beautiful climbs.
Alta Badia isn’t only a road bike Nirvana for professional bikers, quite the opposite! For the less trained bikers we have a number of shorter and easier trails to choose from. On these, they can enjoy the view and the natural beauties of the UNESCO World Heritage site that are the Dolomites. The Kronplatz is the local mountain of Val Pusteria, South Tyrol’s most eminent skiing mountain and beloved hiking area… as well as road bike area during the summer.
Val Pusteria is also a treasure trove of traditional excursions, mountain huts and beautiful bike excursions with great views. Summer is the ideal season for active holiday-goers. Hard and easy excursions take you to scenic spots nestled in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park.
In addition, there are around 600 km of bike and mountain bike trails – discover all of them!
