When you arrive and get out of your car in Pieve a Salti, it’s clear that you’ve come to the right place for cyclists or bikers. What the facility offers is the chance to cycle your bike along the same dirt roads covered by Strade Bianche professionals, or the Eroica’s most exuberant vintage enthusiasts.
With routes suitable for cyclists of all skill-levels, enchanting places are accessible to everyone, such as Montalcino, Pienza, San Quirico d’Orcia, Bagno Vignoni, Monte Amiata, Siena and Montepulciano, traversing centuries of culture and culinary tradition and breathtaking panoramas of the Brunello vineyards. Ever-evolving landscapes that vary with the changing seasons. Our experienced staff and guides will be able to advise or accompany you as you discover fantastic places within an atmosphere of sincere friendship. We are also experienced at handling larger groups; understanding their needs and suggesting suitable itineraries in which fast and moderate cyclists are kept happy, both arriving at the destination together to enjoy a good coffee or a fine glass of wine before setting out again.
There’s a lot of ground to cover: hills, fords, pebbled rivers and trails, but also the Via Francigena road. Then, for the most daring, the Amiata summit offers one of Tuscany’s most beautiful downhill routes! By traversing the woods you can enjoy the various seasonal blooms of cyclamens, violets and mulberry bushes. A unique single-track that takes you to the town centre of Bagno Vignoni, a climb from our lakes to Leccio that affords a 360 degree panorama over the surrounding hills. Maybe we’ll then stop for a glass of wine at a winery in Brunello in Montalcino!
